Lisa hails from the Great State of Michigan, but currently calls Chicago home. For as long as she can remember, she has loved making things. One of her earliest "making memories" is building a her-own work bench (of course scaled down to the height of a six/seven year-old) with her Dad out of scrap wood, then spending countless hours standing at it making- well, most likely making a mess. However, she has since learned how to be more organized and much cleaner.

Lisa spent the 2012-2013 theatre season at Milwaukee Repertory Theater as the Properties Intern. There, she became a devout believer in the 'Gospel of Props'.  Since then she has worked at Illinois Shakespeare Festival, Opera Theatre of Saint Louis and currently is the full time Properties Carpenter at Chicago Shakespeare Theatre.

Lisa holds a B.F.A. in Theatre Design and Production from the University of Michigan - Ann Arbor. She spent the summer of 2012 living in Copenhagen, Denmark while studying Scandinavian Furniture design and manufacturing.
